EOI to compete at the Nations Cup jumping event at HOY, NZL

Equestrian Australia has received an invitation from the New Zealand Federation for a team of 4 rider/horse combinations to compete in an unofficial Nations Cup event to be held at the Horse of the Year Show in Hastings, New Zealand 16-21st March 2010. The event will be run as part of the Silver Fern Stakes on Friday 19th March. The Silver Fern Stakes is a 1.50m class run under Art 273.3.2; 261.5.2. therefore nominating combinations must have experience at 1.50m and higher. Equestrian Australia will be sending a Chef d’Equipe to accompany the team for the event. The Show Organisers will offer a travelling subsidy per horse of NZ$3000 TBC and Equestrian Australia are offering National Jumping Squad combinations, selected onto the team, an additional AU$2000 towards travel expenses. IRT have provided a quote for the flight costs to New Zealand of approximately AU$7370 return,however EA recommends that all transport pricing is checked with IRT or an alternate carrier.
The invitation is extended for all riders to participate in the other classes being offered at The Horse of the Year show, one of Oceania’s premier equestrian events. The show’s full schedule is attached.
Equestrian Australia would like to invite members to indicate their interest to compete at this competition in New Zealand. All interested combinations will need to complete the Expressions of Interest form.
