Press Release- The Aus Prix St Georges Challenge, Victorian State Final

PRESS RELEASE

THE AUSTRALIAN PRIX ST GEORGES CHALLENGE

VICTORIAN STATE FINAL

Following the decision of the FEI to no longer include Australia as a participant in the

FEI World Dressage Challenge after the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, the Australian

Dressage Committee decided to introduce a national competition to be conducted in a

format similar to that of the World Dressage Challenge.

 The competition is open to horses aged between 7 and 11 in the calendar year of competition

with 80+ points. Each State can hold up to five qualifying competitions, followed by a State Final,

from which the 12 best performances are invited by the National Selectors to compete in the

Australian Final at the Australian Dressage Championships at the SIEC, Horsley Park, NSW in October.

The Victorian State Final of the Australian Prix St Georges Challenge will be held in conjunction

with the Prix St Georges class at the Victorian Dressage Club Championships on Sunday 12th

September from 8:30am -12:00.
