We were all horrified with the recent and continuing bushfires in Victoria. In consultation at a meeting held on the 18th February with the horse Community run by Victorian Horse Council in conjunction with many horse representatives, Equestrian Victoria have made available a staff member and database to help with the recording and distributing of goods and feed donated, and to assist in any way possible in conjuntion with Project Hope and Triple R Equine Welfare under direction of the RSPCA and the DPI.

Equestrian Victoria has also set up a relief fund to assist the horse community. Monetary donations can be made via our website. All of the donated money is going towards feed, fencing, vet services etc. We have also set up a "Drop Off Point" at Werribee Park where any-one can donate rugs, feed buckets, feed, halters, lead ropes etc. This ensures that your donated goods go to the people that truly need them.

We have been over whelmed with the response and the generosity of every-one, it doesnt matter how much or little you donate it all helps.
